About me
Becca Hutchinson
Occupational Therapist
Welcome to my professional practice, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. I am a highly experienced, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist offering private assessments and therapy tailored to the needs of neurodivergent individuals.

I hold a BSc in Human Biosciences, a BSc in Occupational Therapy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sensory Integration, which underpin my commitment to evidence-based and compassionate practice.

Since beginning my career in 2003, initially as a physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistant while studying, I have gained extensive experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals, particularly in the areas of autism, ADHD, and mental health.
As someone who is multiply neurodivergent myself, and with neurodivergent family members, I deeply understand the importance of providing assessments and therapy that are not only person-centred but also neuroaffirmative. My approach is grounded in respecting and honouring each individual’s unique profile, with a focus on their personal goals and lived experience.

I am committed to accessibility and offer communication via email, text, and AAC devices to ensure that all individuals can engage with my services in a way that suits their needs. Additionally, I strive to meet both the physical and psychological needs of my clients while ensuring my practice is respectful and inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community. If you would like to discuss any specific requirements or circumstances prior to meeting, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I am also aware that cultural differences can impact accessing therapy, and I am always happy to be educated further to ensure my practice is as inclusive and sensitive as possible.

I am enhanced DBS checked and GDPR compliant.
